Message	Government mandated CAFE (to squeeze as much fuel mileage out of a car) is what fuels the move to thinner oils. Cars that spec a 30wt oil in the US will spec a 40 or 50wt oil in other parts of the world (Australia for example). Go on Shell Australia's website and use their lube match. 20W50 is one of the recommended viscosities for our cars there.
